Rooted vines

The vine cutting is a small vine plant that is born from the union of two bionts: the scion, taken from a vine shoot of the desired variety/clone - found from shoots of the current year and the rootstock of Vitis labrusca commonly known as American vine.
The process of grafting on American vines began last century, following the spread of phylloxera, a phytophagous insect that quickly causes serious damage to the roots and the subsequent death of the attacked plant.
In our nursery you can find both the omega graft and, upon request, the double English cleft graft.
